The Nukra horse, also known as the Hirzai, is a rare and culturally significant breed originating from Pakistan, particularly the Balochistan province. Renowned for its striking silvery-white coat, pink skin, and dark eyes, the Nukra possesses a regal and elegant appearance. Its name, "Nukra," translates to "silver" or "white" in local dialects, aptly describing its luminous coloration. Historically, the Nukra is believed to have Arab lineage, tracing back to the Umayyad Caliphate era, and shares similarities with Balochi horses. This breed is celebrated for its agility and spirited nature, making it ideal for traditional equestrian sports like Neza Bazi (tent pegging), as well as ceremonial events and cultural festivals.
